Well guys i decided to tear down my Transmission. Theres an old SECRET trick i was taught a long time ago to gurantee smooth shifts so i decided try it out for the first time. I have torn down a 350z 6 speed transmission and i got the whole guts out as one assembly, im not sure whats still holding the front half of the case on the sr transmission on. I got the back half of the case off no problem.
I took a good look and it almost seems like the bearing on the input shaft needs to be pressed off. I beat the hell out of the input shaft and the case and i still cant get it off. I have no clue how anyone would fit this whole transmission on a press anyways. Theres also some torx head bolts on the plate that seperates the front and back half of the case but to get to them the bearings half to be pressed off and all i want to do is take the forks and sycronizer sleeves off.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
This is the bearing im talking about that seems to be still holding me up.
