hey there,

so i have a 91 hatch with an sr swap, the car was originally an automatic but was swapped to a manual. the body was really beat up so i found a 91 coupe in good condition and am swapping everything over. I used the lower engine harness and all the other wiring for the sr. everything is plugged in and now i have no power to any accessories. the fuel pump does come on and the engine cranks over, have not cranked long enough to try to start. The headlights come on but the they do not pop up, nothing on the cluster works no windshield wipers no blinkers no brake lights. I jumpered the two wires that you need to for the manual swap. everytime i connect the ground cable to the batterey terminal it blows the 75amp alternator fuse instantly. Im guessing a lot of the accessories run by that fuse so that might be the main problem. what would cause this fuse to blow everytime i connect the battery. all of the alternator wires are connected. I tried the 8mm bolt and small wire in boths holes that it fits into on the alternator with the same results. Im stumped. anybody got any ideas?

thanks,

Mario

i was missing the plastic piece in between the alternator power wire and the housing of the alternator so the circuit was shorting to ground on the alternator housing.
