S13 sr20 into nissan truck questions

I was wondering if swapping in an s13 sr20det into a nissan truck(older models that came with the ka24e/ka24de) would be as easy as dropping in an s13 sr20 into an s13 240sx? Will the wiring be the same on the truck as a 240sx considering both the 240sx and nissan truck both have the ka stock? Researching this for a friend..

yes (from what i have heard). I have seen at least 7 or 8 nissan pickups with SR20DETs in them.

Yea, but why? Those trucks look ugly IMO..no offense to Nissan. But I guess it would be a "sleeper"

I have no idea red240ne...I'm just researching this for a friend of mine with a nissan truck. He's interested in more power I guess. Know anything about steering column clearance and stuff in the truck if you dropped in the sr20?

The best people to ask about that kind of install would be a sr20 installer he could tell u all the spec's

Try heavy throttle of phase 2 or any other good installer

I'm not sure if they've ever swapped any sr20s into a truck though that's the point. I know there's very few guys that have done it and they're hard to locate.

I saw a picture of an sr20 in a nissan truck on the heavythrottle website that i think they did, go email them.

S13240 call them. They can lead you in the right direction.

Ace: I e-mailed Heavy Throttle already and they answered me back last night that they've never done it and said that it is doable though which was obvious enough. Thanks a lot!

i guess i could chim in here...i have a sr20det truck. I was the one that was selling it on ebay, of course that fell through. But that is another story.

Thanks sr20detruck that's what i was looking for. Anyhow did you do the swap yourself? If so any difficulties and clearance problems with steering column and stuff?

btw...your truck is beautiful and in great condition. Now that's one truck I don't mind driving and owning

well...it is still for sale. To me it was not as hard as you think. Just think about it, if it dont fit make it fit.
