s13 sr20 bad idle before reaching normal operating temp

is it stock?

if you upgraded something like injectors and it's not tuned cold start then this will occur

ya pretty much all stock. it has a safc on it but as far as i know other than small bolt ons (z32 afm, fmic...). I have only had the car around a month and it did NOT do this when i bought it...

When the motor is cold, the idle speed should higher like around 1200 rpm. If not, adjust the 'fast idle' cam.

well its not just low but also when you are driving it cold (lets say at 3500 rpms) it will feel like you completely let off the accelerator for about a second and a half and then it kicks right back up

- Make sure the spark plugs are clean.- Check for a vacuum leak in the intake system.- Make sure ignition timing is set correctly.
