So I have a sr with a port n polish head 3 angle valve job and bc titanium springs and retainers with bc 272 cams. I don't have a bigger turbo yet but was wondering on everyones opinion on just running the stock t25 at 12psi?

Stock cams for your set up right now is perfect. You will be a lot slower with the combination you're asking about. With those cams, by the time your engine wants to open up, you're little turbo is already running out of steam. Your engine will also idle like crap with those big cams and the ported head. Little turbo, big cams is probably the worse set up people can do.

What turbo should I run with these cams? I really dont want a huge turbo where I'm gonna have lag and have to wait until like 4k to start spooling. So what do you guys recommend? Oh I want to drift with this setup not drag.

These cams aren't meant for fast responsive turbos, they're meant for top end. If you think hitting full boost at 4k rpm is laggy then I wouldn't go any bigger than a S15 turbo. The biggest cam I would run with that would be a 256 cam. I wouldn't even think about 272 cams unless I was running a T3 turbine housing and up.

My gt2871R .64 hits full boost at around 4k rpm. Others people claims theirs reaches full boost a bit sooner, around 3700-3800 iirc. I think you meant the .86 in your above post, but the .86 will hit full boost later than the .64. Even then I still wouldn't recommend you go with 272 cams with these turbos. These turbos aren't considered laggy by the way. Looks like you need a lot of research to do. Just start searching around on this forum and others and you'll find out all about cam and turbo matching. Responsive turbos, laggy turbos, and then you can make an educated decision on what you want to do with your motor. You'll regret matching 272 cams with any of these smaller T25/28 turobs though.

In the FAQ, there's a link to a camshaft megathread... It has every bit of info you need for cams.. Even staggered setups
