ok, so i got a blacktop sr and pos harness from jemadness(which btw, DO NOT do business with this memeber, EVER. he is no longer responding to my pms nor will he answer his phone. theres oil around the headgasket, so im pretty sure it leaks. hes super hairy and wont help me with anything.) anyways, theres multiple wiring issues im having problems with..

first off, this is what his bs looked like-

so sean gave me a part of a fresh harness so i could give mine a face life. (seans harness runs from the ecu plug up to the "Y" where it goes into the O2 sensor plug and the other fork ends at the ignitor plug) and right now im dealing with.. i matched all the wires from the bs harness to those from seans, and ive got 3 left over wires on the O2 side(on seans):mint green/blackyellow/whitegreen/blue

then, on the ignitor side, ive got 5 left over on seans: pinkblue/whiteorange/bluegreen/blueBIG grey with black/white inside

and on the ignitor side of the bs harness, ive got 5 left over:2 green/yellowblack(theres 5 on bs, and 4 on seans)2 BIG greys(white/black inside)

and also, this grey plug(idk what it is) had a grey plug plugged into it. and instead of wiring it to the 240, i just sanded the red plug key down and plugged it in.. is this bad? or wrong?this was plugged into it

and one more thing... idk what this plug is-

THANKS A TON BROS!!!

What a crazy mess, if you need wiring service let me know! i can get that fixed up for you and tested.

There is also going to be a line of brand new harnesses coming up they are made from scratch for lhd chassis and have an unlimited startup warranty. Look out for it later but if you want that harness repaired then lmk!

I'm not the one doing the work, its a friend of mine It is all VERY VERY good work.

The new harnesses arent available yet.

In the condition its in it could range from $130-200 depending on the amount of repair needed.

Let me know.

You have a couple options Bud. 1) You can repair the harness with a lot of soldering and extending and heat shrinking. It will take a long time if you have never done anything like that. But pays off in the end IF done right.2) Send it to wiring specialties... They do a great job! No question about it.3) Purchase a brand new one on ebay. You can find them for 2-3 hundred. I got a brand new one for 200 shipped and was obviously pleased.

Get a new harness!

yea, before i spend 200 on repair, id much rather buy a new harness. but i will let you konw. and my dad said he would help solder it, and yes, im aware its going to take ALL night. but if that fails, ill see what i can do about a new harness. thanks for the help. but id just like to know why ive got extra wires, and waht that grey plug is that i took a picture of.. that where the big grey wires goes to, and the new harness does not have that big grey wire that the original harness had.

and should i worry about that extra plug in the last pic? its inside the car btw.

Go to frsport.comThere is a "how to" wire harness diagram. It's very simple and you can follow that as a guideline when your soldering everything up. Make sure you use heat shrink wrapping too! There is going to be a couple clips and wires left over.

This wire chart here I would save if I were you and will help greatly with your little adventure.

im just here to say that taylor durdan did my harness (durdanperfab) and he did an incredible job. we talked back and forth a few times and did a little customizing my harness to suit my needs. great guy to work with and i would highly consider contacting him. someone wrote a review thread on the boards. check him out.

At this point i could get you a brand new harness that is either already modified or one that is ready to get modified. Let me know if you decide to go that route. That is what i did on my personal car and it has been coming along VERY clean so far.

Let me know what you decide but best of luck on your repairs! Merry christmas!

thanks for the advice guys!!! and thanks for that chart mrsouth, the best ive seen thus far! it will help a bunch! and how much would you want for either of those harnesses omega? and to be honest, im not in the position to be spending over 200 on a harness, just so everyone konw(and 200 is pushing it!)

one thing i REALLY need to know is what that grey plug is. thats where the extra(not the maf) big grey wire goes to. and the new half harness ive got doesnt have that wire. the red plug plugged into it comes out of the pass side fuse box btw.

thanks everybody!

this goes out to all my sr members that are in trouble with there harnesses:

if you know how to torrent stuff. go to thepiratebay.com and in the search engine type in 240sx, you'll find the download to the wiring video. This is what is says exactly, " (Movies DVDR) Nissan 240SX SR20DET Wiring Guide - S13 Edition (DVD ISO)"

this is the video of wiringspecailties.com. i used it to convert my harness. s13. but theres also s14 and s15 harnesses that he converts in the video. into a s13 chassy. its legit. hope that helps bro. good luck.

OP- There is someone with a complete harness already coverted for 200 and said he would go lower. I would jump on that and sell your harness like I did with mine that was all cut up. I sold mine for about 100.
