Just as the title says.

I need one for my S13 KA, but the only thing I can get locally is an SR S13 one

one is km/h and the other signals out m/h. so no they're different.

Im using the JDM sr20det speed sensor with my stock USDM 240sx gauges and my car reads out perfect mph.I think they are the same. They look exacty the same,But the harness might be different.

When I did my sr swap (redtop into s13) I used all of the sr's sensors. All of my guages including speedo work fine. I do have the HUD though. Don't know if that makes any difference.

The part number for the two is the EXACT same. They are the same. The only reason they read different from car to car is that the speedo is adjustable and can be slightly off. The adjustment screw is on the back of the gauge.

As a note the CA18DET speed sensor is different. It has two more/less (can't remember, think it is 20 vs 22) teeth than the KA/SR. This is for the 4.363 final drive vs. the KA/SR 4.083.
