Hey guys. I'm having some difficulties with my 1992 240sx Hatch swapped with s13 SR20DET. My work schedule is crazy (7am -8pm) and having time to look through the forums is tough since I don't have time and now without a running car. I work for lawyers. So I apologize if this is a repeat.

So heres the problem, ready? here we go....I purchased a front 28mm sway bar and Links from M.R. the other day and I installed it myself. Everything went okay for the most part, after install I obviously went for a test drive. S13 drove smoothly. After the test drive, I cleaned shop and checked my Fluids and Oils to make sure it was ready to go the next day for work (She's my daily BTW). I parked it in my garage and went to sleep.

The next morning I turned the alarm off the car and went in to start it to go to work. You know the drill....Key in ignition, turn steering wheel to unlock, Gear in Neutral, pressed and held down clutch and turned the key. As soon as I turned the key every thing went dead with no crank. There was no power to anything which includes:

Gauge Cluster
Clock on Gauge cluster wasn't displaying the time
All Interior lights
Radio facing & Subwoofers system
Front Flip lights
Turn Signals
Hazard Lights
Tail/ Brake lights

Absolutely nothing.....Weird huh? First thing I did was to check my battery right. I checked to see if the terminal clamps were on good and they were. I purchased a FMIC and installed it a few months ago and did a battery relocation to the trunk using new cables which are 000 Gauge including the ground wire. Battery and terminal clamps are brand New. I checked my ground wire where it is connected to one of the 3 rear strut bar bolts/ nuts and adjusted it. No progress, so I jump it with my mom's Nissan Xterra and no power still. I checked my fuses using my eyes and a fuse light checker and they were good. I closed the hood and the force from closing it somehow turned the power back on. I seen lights in the cluster and heard the fuel pump wind up. Jumped in to press the clutch and as soon as i turned the key it all shut off again.

I changed all fuses including the pain FL75A ALT one and the ones in the kick panel in the cabin of the car near my feet. No progress still. I then jacked the car up to see if the Red Hot wire was connected to the starter and i made sure it was. I checked my relays and they didn't seem to be burnt at all. Now I'm frustrated and confused!

This is what I think could be the next problem.

Starter relay (I have no Idea how hard it is to replace),
Ignition switch,
Hot Red wire that connects to starter (I have no Idea how hard it is to replace),
Distributer
or Clutch Switch (I have no Idea how hard it is to replace).

Do you guys have any other ideas of what it could be? It started everyday without hesitation and now it isn't getting any source of power. your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I even tried to charge the battery thinking my stereo drained the power. I have a industrial battery charger and while it was clamped to the battery charging I tried to start it and it cranked once with power to the gauge cluster but died like before.

did you check for loose grounds and power wires? cause since you have zero power to your accesories it sounds like a loose connection to me. (when you slammed the hood that made me think its a loose connection) if you have good grounds and you have good power then what i would do is check your ignition switch wiring and make sure its getting power and then check to see if its putting power out when you switch it to accessory and if it doesn't then i would replace the ignition switch. just remember im going off of what you telling me so i am just making an educated guess. hope this helps

Thanks for the comment HxC_Nismo.

I ended up relocating my grounding else where on the chassis. For some reason it wasn't grounding well where I had it screwed to, I think it was lack of metal.

Thanks.
