ok to start off, i just sold my car. i only wanted $1500 for it. the guy gave me 2, i decided to do a budget build for it. ive already done all the research and everything. so here is the list

91 coupe- $600trans- $150 or less(the stupid kid thinks reverse is out)body work and rattle can paint- $60new carpet- $100new steering wheel- $40 or lesspower steering hoses- freeLSD(J30)- freesilvia front end(w/o hood or fenders)- $100(^ima wait for the fenders and hood^)

total- $1250(we have a import salvage yard with 6 bone stock 240s. all with uncraked dashes)

my question is...what should i do with the left over money. i was thinnkin of gettin intake, headers, and a 2.5in exhaust. its open for suggestions. i will post photos to show yall what i am dealin with.

I think that you should wait for the carpet. But you could star by buying some coilovers and suspension parts, before you want to modifying your engine. Well that is just me or you could buy all dashes from the 240SX in you yards and resale them to make some profit. there my .02 Cents. Good luck.

BTW: Remember suspension comes first before anything else.

Parted Out Built S13 Coupe

budget builds work GREAT in theory.

in real life... ahhahahaahahahahha no.

just understand that stock suspension/driveline/wheels etc are terrible. that does NOT mean that you should think "budgetmindedly" and go buy cheap replacements (megan/ebay/whatever other knockoffs there are now).

not trying to piss on your parade, but have you done a tune up? refreshed the brakes? changed all your fluids out for good ones?

things to consider...

i found a guy sellin a S13 coupe on ebay with a SR N/A swap but the engine wasnt wired up. i asked him if he'd sell the front end or trade. he was reluctant at first but i guess he changed his mind, but you have to remember im not gettin a hood or the fenders but everything else.
