Hey all, I have a rather simple question for you guys.

I bought a 92 Hatch w/ an ugly S13 Silvia Front End conversion. The Hood is aftermarket fiberglass and I believe the bumper to be aftermarket as well. The fenders dont line up worth a damn with the body lines. It could be because the car was hit at some point (can tell by the reweld on the core support)

If i pull a fender off, is there any way to tell if its OEM or not? Would there be a P/N or something stamped on it from Nissan if it was OEM.

Photos :D Ask and you shall receive. They seem to be made of metal. Def not fiberglass or plastic.

Welcome to owning a 240. Once you take the oem parts off nothing lines up ever again.

lol ok so this is normal for a silvia conversion? I am just going to have to mess around with the fenders, roll etc. to make it fit and look right?

I mostly just want to know weather or not this is a fixable thing, I have never done much body work. Mostly interior stuff and engine work (V8's) these 2.0L turbos are new to me :D

Trade the front to someone for a pop-up front plus money on top.

Win-win situation.

if the bumper is oem, it is the Aero style bumper, kind of rarer than most silvia bumpers, one of the nicest looking ones in my opinion.

OEM Silvia (Ks) Aero:

if the fenders are metal, chances are they are real.it is all fixable, with the exception of the fiberglass hood (fitment is bound to be s*** with that). Just take it to a good body man to get it lined up, get it painted, and it will all look good.

Those fenders and bumper are definitely OEM...it's fixable you just have to play with it.

Its a K's aero bumper without the grilles and if the fenders are metal they are probably OEM

I swapped mine for a Q's bumper...its my favorite by far

the aero is my second choice

chances are that it was probably in a decent front end collision and the previous owner replaced with jdm shlt instead of usdm stuff. from what you said about the core support, it supports my theory. sell the whole front for a usdm front, or 180sx bumper plus cash on top of your stuff. your car will look 100x better.

Bro just letting you know, because you are new.

That bumper is worth at LEAST 500.

I don't give a s*** about what anyone else has to say about it.

You may not know what you have so do some research before you sell it.

Good Luck.

One Love,

Ghasty

PS: I can and will out bid anyone for that bumper if you plan to sell it with the support, I would like another one just in case i get a coupe.

EDIT: Do you have the grille inserts for the bumper? And is the bumper cracked anywhere?

Keep the bumper, its kind of rare as F@k and mostly expensive when complete with all the misc parts. If you sell the way it is you should be able to pull easily 400 for that bumper alone, depending on the overall condition.

And as mentioned above this is a S13 Aero bumper. Price is hight for these, similar to S14 Zenki Navan OE Aero bumper's.

Panels are OEM's metal, its a SILVIA panels, which were not sold in USA on Nissans. So odds are most likely that a Chines or Taiwanese copies dont exist. Its metal because they have dents, and all the lines are on the panels, you just have to align them all.

If your not sure just put a magnet against the panel, you'll know right way if it's metal or fiberglass, so easy even a caveman can do it.

Looks like you just slapped it on. Come'on put some effort into it, unless u bought it like that.

That is good to know that its a rare bumper I guess :D

I did buy the car how it is so I didnt have anything to do with the fitment :D I will have to give some thought into what I want to do with it. The bumper actually fits pretty well if all the clips were there, the fenders are what seem like they will be a pain in the a**.

I will give it a go and see if I can get things to line up a little better :D

Keep the bumper dude.. A clean Aero K's is hard to come by.. I wouldn't go sil80 without it.

Fenders? if you look around the classifieds, you'll find OEM metals ones in better condition and the hood, just get some vented aftermarket one, and your g2g.

I love that bumper so much.. I might make babies.

aero bumper is NICE! even aftermarket wide fenders might be a good idea now, with oem style hood and bumper it still looks good.

If youre planning on some serious offset wheels you wont rub as bad either
