S13 / S14 transmissions

Can a ka S13 transmission be used on ka S14 w/ vlsd? My transmission is bad and I don't have $$$ for new transmission. I have spare S13 transmission ( 128,000mi.) left over from my brothers sr20det swap. Will there be issues with crank position sensor? Anyone have ka S14 transmission in Cent. FL willing to sell cheap?

you'll have to drill a hole for the s14 CKPS, the S13 transmission doesn't have the hole as the s13 CKPS is in the distributor.

Do you have to be real exact on positioning the cps or do you just drill just about where it is on the S14 transmission? Any other potential headaches in doing this swap?

I'd imagine it has to be fairly exacting.
