S13/S14 Strut difference?

Im trying to replace the front strut/springs on my s13. However, there is about a 3 inch length difference in strut thats not allowing me to mount the struts. Could I possibly have a s14 strut?

From what i've heard the fronts should be the same with a s13 and s14 the rear is where the difference is, there like an inch longer

I wish i would have taken some photos. The bracket on the front strut is about 3 inches too low.. or the strut itself is like 3 inches too long making the bracket 3 inches lower than the part on the back of the rotor where it mates up.

The rears fit, however they have an extreme amount of travel. I can only assume thats because the rear is stock ride height and the front is like 1 inch off the ground making the back significantly higher.

Have you taken the new strut assembly and the old assembly and placed them side by side for comparison?
