not to make fun of you but use the search button their are more posts on this subject than i can even think of. just a tidbit here 89-94 = s1395-98 = s14after that came the s15 which the u.s. never saw. We also never saw the sr20 which came in all of these vehicles in some sort or another except 89-90 (i think) that used the ca18det.

What I would do to have an S15........

The S numbers are the generations of 240. S13 is the older pop up head light, hatch or coupe. S14 is the newer body style, coupe only fixed head lights. S15 is the kick a$$ body style, that as IR said, we can't get. And the reason we can't get it is the puss boys americans drive SUV's.

also, the U.S got the non turbo version of the SR2o which came in some older SE-Rs, the silvia , however, had the ca18det (1.8 liter turbo 185hp in japan only 89-90) and the sr2odet (2.o liter turbo 2o5hp in japan only 91-o1*i think the s15 was discontinued in o1*) all of the sr2odet's had the same spec's, other than the s15's sr2odet which has 246hp instead of 2o5, this increase is there because of a larger t28 turbo is used instead of hte older t25

Not all of the sr20det's up till the s15 were the same. The s14 sr20 had VVT and a bigger turbo.

actually the s13 and 14s were the same sr2o, with the same t25 turbo, however i believe you're right, something about the variable timing in the s14

no the S13 redtop and blacktop have different head designs i think...then the s14 sr has the variable valve timing w/ the "notch-top" valve cover and a T28...then the S15 is just a little more power

The S15 engine also has a 6speed... and there's a thread about HKC's wreck... hope she gets it fixed soon!edit: Somehow HKC's thread is no longer on the main page... where are all the guys who try desperately to get her to marry them now, eh?

worst thread ever. I mean, you barely know anything about 240's, and here you're talking about dropping an engine into the one you're getting. Excuse me while I throw up.

We just had a thread about how sickening all the flaming has gotten, chill guys, some people want to learn, and you guys don't know everything, so next time you ask a question that someone considers stupid and they flame you I hope you remember this thread.

Maybe he should make an effort to learn, ie. google, tech reference areas instead of posting a thread that has been answered millions of times.

It will be answered a million more, for it is the ever-resounding question of the "new to 240s" person. So like I said, chill out, don't harass him. I'm sure there's stupid stuff you don't know either.

this is not ment as a flame, so please dont read it in an angry tone.

You COULD have found out any of this info by searching or checking out the FAQ's but honestly that doesnt bother me. It does kinda bother me you are talkin about swappin motors before you even have a 240. Get the car, learn about it, and dont just writeoff the KA.

Hey he never said he was going to pop in an SR right away he just wanted to know the potential so if he ever wanted to get an SR if it would be cool. i mean no offence to anybody.

Seriously, listen to cyberkreig. I remember the first time I drove my friends 240 with the stock ka in it. It was a 92 s13 and it was soo light that it still flew even with the stocker. I dunno what kind of experience you have wanttobe, but if you haven't driven 1 yet take it slow man. Buying a car and building it to be a 12 second car with little driving experience in it and youll kill yourself real quick!
