Does anyone know if the dampers from D2 coilovers are the same length (interchangable) between ones for an S13 and a S14? The reason I ask is that I had to swap out my original ones because they were defective and Urban Imports sent me back S13 ones saying they are the same in both S13s and S14s. Funny, but the ones I sent to them from my S14 were all equal length and these are different lengths. I asked Urban Imports about this and they don't seem to know the answer either. On D2's site they list different part number between the S13 and S14 which makes me believe they are different.

Any help would be great.

You shouldn't even have to deal with figuring that out, send them back and demand s14 specific coilovers.

I agree and have tried that, but the guys at Urban Imports don't seem to care all that much. Kind of sad if this is how they choose to do business. I am hoping that they are are just busy and will get this taken care of. So far this has been draging out for a month now. Has anyone else had any problems with Urban Imports? I will keep my progress updated on Urban Imports so others on the fourm will be advised on how this company operates when a customer has a problem. My big concern is how "well" they know their product - when you ask the supplier why the dampers you returned were all one length and then the ones sent to replace these were different lengths and they don't have a definative answer then or after three days (so far) makes you wonder...

I will keep this updated for any who are interested.

i know s13 and s14 struts and springs are not interchangable, so i would assume any coilover would be the same way. good luck.

you are wrong.

the S13 and S14 D2 coilovers share the SAME shock design and the new warrenty returns have redesigned cases. the reason being because the rears of S13s would not go low enough before hand with the old shock design without running dirty slack on the spring. Now you can lower your car properly without sacraficing shock stroke. these are the new redesigned shocks due to complaints from users.

Well, here is the answer. The S13 dampers will not fit (the rears at least) on to the S14. I tried to put them on and the ones Urban Imports claims will fit are about 1.5 inches too short.

Now if Urban Import will just call me back. It has been a week and they will not get back to me. Has anyone else had problems like this with them? I just saw on their site that they pulled / moved their phone number, but I have it none the less. I will keep calling them until then send me something I can use. Right now I have a car which has been off the road for a month due to them.

I will keep posting my experiences with these guys for all to see. Maybe if they care about their reputation they will resolve this and I will stop bitching

Well, Urban Import just will not get back to me on this. So now I have NO suspension on this car. I thought the ones I had on the car that were bad was a sucky deal...but at least the car could be driven, sorta. Now the car is sitting there with no suspension now so what do you do? Anybody know these guys? Is this a common business practice with them? I spoke with a guy, "Micheal" who was supposed to check on this but no reply...

Anyone have any ideas on how I could get this resolved???
