Don't swap in a SOHC. Go DE or SR or RB. Don't waste your time with the SOHC in a late model. It will never pass inspection and going from ODBII to ODBI will only lessen its chances of road worthiness.

Thanks rev. i have seen that the S13 didnt have DOHC until 1991. from 1991 and newer, would this motor/ 5 speed set fit into my 95 with all the proper pieces like ECU, clutch pedal, drive shaft, ETC ETC. the reason i ask is now i have met someone with a 93 S13 that is going to do the SR swap, so i could get everything i need off his car. just dont want to get until i have verified its gonna work....lol.

The ECU will still be ODBI, you can swap out some parts but nothing like you would if you went SOHC. If it's a DOHC then you are a step in the right direction. Do some more searching in here and the 240 Gen forum, trust me this has come up before and it is somewhere archived on NICO.

95 should be OBD I so it should be ok as long as it passes the sniffer

s13 drivetrain and s14 drivetrain are almost identical with the exceptions of a sensor here and there. s13 clutch pedal will fit but you'll need some washers or something to compensate for the different pedal travel.

again, search. We can help guide you in the right direction but we can't help you out with everything

Everything he says is correct, pointless to go SOHC.

But for reference:

ODB = Ol' Dirty Bastard (RIP)OBD = On Board Diagnostics
