Hey,

I bought an s13 this summer for 700 bucks. Due to the cheap price, I figured there'd be some rust problems, but when I checked it out there wasn't much except for a few holes, nothin unmanagable. Then, like a couple weeks ago, me and a friend were doin some body work on the passenger side rocker panel, cutting away at some rust, when we found out that the whole inside of the rocker panel was rusted. It's more than likely that the driver's side has the same problem. I was wondering if there was any quick way to remove the rocker panel, b/c when we checked it, it looked like it was part of the frame. If not, is there anything I can do about this? I would like to get the car repainted in the future, but I don't want to waste money if the paint is just goin to get bubbled up by the rust there. Thanks.

Hey man I got the same problem. I am taking it around to get estimates and I talked to guy that said the best way to get the rockers off is to use a saw rather than a plasma cutter because the cutter may create sparks and burn the interior. I believe you just gota find the weld and cut it there. Apparently there is also a glue/bondo that you can use instead of welds which is said to be stronger then welds. I'll keep you posted on my solution to this problem. Good Luck.
