Hey guys I got pulled over the other night for my head light being out. I have tried everything to get it to work. I checked all of the fuses, relays and the bulb is good. The problem is there is power coming out of the head light plug when the bulb is out, but when we plug in the bulb it's like it grounds out the power source and the head light doesn't come on.

I need to get this fixed really soon any opinions will be appreciated thanks!

No other lights are out. just the front right headlight.

My buddys 89' s13 was having the same problem, both headlights would pop up, but the passenger side wouldnt illuminate. It would however, light up if he turned his brights on, kinda weird. Well, I did some searching and found this great write-up here on NICO on how to fix your switch, and after what you've stated, it seems the culprit could very well be burned contacts inside your HL switch on the column (nothing serious, just from years of everyday use). He followed the write-up exactly and it worked for him, check it out, it's pretty simple and wouldnt hurt to try. Good luck!

Thanks, but I don't think it is that. Because we had a voltage reader and it said there was power through the plug, but when we pluged in the bulb its like it grounds it out because there is no power after that. But it wouldn't be worth a shot.

maybe your fuse it out for the turn signals. If not, I know that when the hazard switch harness is not connected to the switch the turn signals dont work. Check those two thingys

Cleaned all the terminal contacts. with a dremel wire brush kit.
