Alright guys, my friend thought it'd be cute to buy me a pivot headlight controller, so we decided to install it a while ago. I never got around to asking this question. When you use it, you set where the headlights will stop and then turn them on/off to get them to raise and then lower back down, stopping at wherever the switch is set at.

That part goes fine, but the problem is, one starts going down slightly before the other, but they both stop at the same time. I believe this is the way the car works and that it did that normally, but since they would go all the way down I didn't notice it. So my sleepy eyes are lopsided. Of course I can use the little knob on the motor to manually fine tune the look, but...that defeats the purpose a bit.

Does anyone know if I can tighten up the lights or anything so that they will pivot up and down in more unison? It's not terrible, but it is noticeable from a ways away. I imagine this would be the case if you used a toggleswitch or a pivot unit.

One of your headlight motors is dying. You need to replace your motors (probably both) to keep them going the same speed. Or you can take your chances w/ just replacing the slower one.

Another possibility is to try and set the angle different (i.e. instead of 10%, try 20% or 30%) etc, maybe it will be less noticeable at a diff stop.

could be the motors, yeah. It's the same at different %'s though. They seem to go up and down at the same speed, just one lags a bit. For now I just cope with it by letting the pivot do 96% of the works and hand aligning the difference. *shrug*
