Can i put a S13 Blacktop valve cover on my S13 redtop motor?

It has some rust on the nissan lettering.

Take some sandpaper to the tops of the lettering, i'm sure it's just surface rust. Once you grind all that crap off hit it with a high temp clearcoat and that'll keep the rust from reforming.
