As far as ease of installation goes... I am pretty sure both feed into the same motor mounts.

Check the stickys. Get a Red Top if you plan to upgrade the turbo. You may want the S14 if you plan to keep the stock turbo. If I were you I'd get a Red Top and mod it out.

Both motors are basically the same. Main difference is the VTC (V-Tec for Nissan's)and a slightly bigger turbo (T28 vs. T25) in the S14. Perfomance wise, you can get more HP out of a stock S14 than you can with a S13. But if you plan on upgrading the turbo, the S13 will push out more than the S14 due to it's high port head. Also, the big thing for me and probably a lot of other people is the price difference. With the money you save in getting a S13, you can get A LOT of mods that will give you more HP and Torque than if you were to spend the money on a stock S14. So it's something to deifinitely think about, I know I did.

yea but how much do you guys spend on custom FMIC piping for the s13 sr20 into a s14. thats my main hang up. if there is only a small price cost difference when the piping is all said and done, as opposed to bolt-on FMIC piping, then id rather go with a s14. thanks.
