a real bad idle problem . it has a hard time starting when its cold then when i get it to start. it idles fast up to around 2500 rpm then goes back down to around 1000 or 1500 rpm. this goes on for awhile till the engine warms up it seems like. after that it idles really rough. it wants to turn off if i dont hit the gas a few times, it spudders and it seems like its backfiring inside the cylinders. it seems to rev ok past 2500 rpm with no problems.ive checked the timing and it was ok. ive cleaned out IACV and ive tried to adjust it as well with no luck, idle stays the same. now for the TPS i didnt have any issues before i rebuilt the engine. but from what ive searched i can test that with my multi meter. and readjust it. so im checking that when i get home.i checked my wiring to my injectors, MAFS, o2 sensor, and all plugs to make sure they were connected properly and wired up correctlyi checked for leaks, vaccum and IC piping both.i had a nismo adjustable FPR on there but i was unable to get it set for the proper fuel pressure. im not sure if i was adjusting it right so i put back the original FPR back on. i have the instructions that came with it but its japanese so that doesnt help. my setup is:redtop sr20detrebuilt 86.5mm bore740cc deastchwerks injectors2871r .64 turboz32 mafenthalpy tune

i feel like blowing the ***** up. haha. but that doesnt help anything.so just incase some of you say search. i did search and did came up with a little info. but im asking for some advise on my issue. i will keep udates of my progress. thanks!

hmm, iirc, this might have to deal with the coolant temperature sensor not working. Sounds like a problem covered before and I believe thats what most people were suggesting, not completly sure though.

ok i got an update on the sr. i took apart my intake manifold to get to the idle control valve to clean inside of it. when i got the manifold off i noticed i had left a washer on the intake manifold stud before i put the IM on creating a gap therfore creating a leak. so i put it all back together and wala! it idles great! i took it to work today and i am so happy with the way it runs. i cant believe i did this, well actually i can. its my first motor i built by myself. but its all taken care of for now. thanks.
