i search for a s13 redtop o2 sensor, and all the post i found said a 87 300z turbo o2 sensor is the same as a s13 redtop, is the true? all the pictures i saw of a 87 300z turbo looks like a 17mm diameter sensor, my redtop has a 12 mm diameter.

I bought an 87 turbo sensor and the sensor was right but the plug was different... simple... just swap plugs... you can take each individual wire out of the plug and swap it instead of cutting and splicing... works fine! Just make sure you keep the wires in the same place as the stock plug

does the o2 sensor work? are you getting normal values?

never tested it to be honest. my old sensor had a torn wire and once i put the new one in the car ran better (before i had the car tuned). How needed is the stock O2 sensor once you get your ECU tuned? If its all about running rich, my car runs 13.0 at idle (HKS Cams), 14.7 while cruising, and 11.5 WOT. I guess its working since the car runs so good. I might try disconnecting it to see if it makes a difference.

i matched up the wires(according to the old s13 sensor) on the 87 300z trubo, when i rev the engine the o2 volt drops to 0mv, when i stop reving the eingine the sensor reads 840mv, and stays still. bad sensor?
