In order to remove the rear windows, you need to first remove the interior trim. You'll see that the windows are held on with both sealant (which is easily overcome by heating it with a heat gun, not a blow dryer) and several small clips. Pop the clips off and heat up the sealant and the windows *should* pop out.
I don't live in Texas so I couldn't tell you about the tint. It seems that nobody really cares up here in Colorado though. I've even seen a VW Golf with the FRONT window tinted!!
I really like the 3M products but I would steer clear of 3M tint, as I've heard nothing but bad things about it. Apparently Solar Guard is what the local Porsche/Audi dealership uses so I figure that has to be good enough for me!
In my opinion I think that 30% light tint looks very nice, especially on a dark colored car. It will be dark enough to keep the car cool and hide your interior from prying eyes, plus you will be able to see out the back at night when you put it in reverse.
