I borrowed an Injector tester from a mechanixc, plugged it into the rear injector on a KA24E and it was showing that the injector was pulling around 14 volts, all the time with the car shut off. ALL other cylinderes read Ovolts. I was having horrible running issues with a vigirous shake at idle and NO power through the RPM range. The rear cylinder was dead
I purchased a new(used) ECM and BAM it fixed it. The car was ALIVE again!!!!!!! nice and quick. About 5 miles later it started doing the same thing....no power through the RPM range and the siginature 3cyl exhaust sound. However the car does not shake...it idles just fine and calm.
Before the ECM swap i could pull the rear spark plug boot. and nothing would change. the cylinder wasant getting fuel so it had nothing to spark. NOW after the ECM swap i can pull the rear bott and she burbles and runs rough. It seems like ive fixed not getting fuel to the rear cylinder because of this test. But she all of a sudden just lost power again
