hey guys i just finished an RB25DET swap into an 90 hatch. and everything on the cluster works except for the tachometer. i need help to fix it. do i buy an aftermarket one or is there a way to fix this?

get a tach from a 91-94 and adjust the pot on the back until its correct

lsauto.com sells a precalibrated one.

also if you want to be cheap like me, grab a j30 tach and put it in your cluster. the fitment is really close but not perfect. some people also use maxima tachs, but the fitment on those are horrible. i was using one until i found out about the j30

Have you confirmed that this works on a s13 91-94 dohc cluster?

I've only seen this confirmed on s14 clusters.

EDIT: I'm still going to go with Carl H, but I need to spend my money on getting a replacement turbo and injectors first...so as a temporary solution, if this will work, so be it.
