s13 - rb25 + 383 + boost = MATAfied's ride

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

well i have been a part of the nico family for awhile now, i have done 6 rb25 swaps 3 of which were personal. i had just completed a mild build pictured here

<IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... aughty.gif" BORDER="0">

well a long story short i wanted a little something different so i parted my car out and bought everything for my small block chevy <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... s/slap.gif" BORDER="0"> hahah well lets just say i have got flamed by everybody i know telling me i was crazy and everything else. but i get board easy and just need to be doing something differnt so........ whatever

i started with a R33 crossmember and some block mounts from a 91 G20 van, well i guess it was just a blessing from God because you would never beleive it would ever be so perfect

made a couple simple adapters that would allow it all to bolt in

and walah

<IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... ckpoke.gif" BORDER="0">

all kinds of room

the hood dose close but hits very little, i am going to back the motor up just about a 1/2 inch and its perfect!i am going to make some new mounts now that i know what my clearances are, new mounts then next is custom oil pan

holy hell man, this is what i needed.

i'm in a effed up situation right now, and i literally have a serious option of just dropping a 350 in my dead s13 so i can get a job. lol

so this stuff freaking rocks!

i've been reading up on the oil pan clearances and wasn't sure i'd ever find a Nova II pan, and realy wanted a good view of how to mod the stock pan....

so... THANK YOU!

the only other things i was worried about was the shifter... if it would go in the same placeAND IT DOES! AGAIN... THANK YOU!

and after that... a good view of custom made mounts.AND YOU DID THAT TOO...

lol, i almost feel like i need to buy you a xmas gift now!

lol... too bad for you i'm broke.

no problem, i made some new mounts also, i will post some pics when i get a chance, but it would have worked either way. oh and thanks for the christmas gift kinda

oh by the way i dont know if you would be interested but i have a rev A oil pan that looks near identical to mine and could work fine with very little work. my cosin made it for me but i wanted to make my own. you can have it if you want it. let me know if you want a pic of it. i just would hate to waste it

that'd really rock man.. merry christmas

Modified by dblanehopr at 11:34 AM 12/25/2008

pleeeease... i'm sure i could figure it out, but not only will i be doing my first selfmade engine mounts, i'll be learning how to weld too. woot! if i got a good look at your mounts, it'd make me feel a lot better going into the project..
