Hey guys i just picked up an s13 /w RB20DET that i'm NOT planning for street use. right now i have the interior gutted and i have the wiring harness laying on my bedroom floor

What i'm wondering is what is the bare minimum amount of wires i need to run to have this engine run correctly.. i plan on running ignition, fuel pump, fans, etc from a toggle board. No A/c, heat, or anything extra. I'm looking for bare minimums here. any help is appreciated and if someone has a wiring diagram of the setup that would be awesome

THANKS!

Seriously a carb?! lol no thank you

and thanks kush that would be very helpful.. do you even need the harness that runs through the passenger compartment? if you run the switches it seems like all you would need is the section of the harness that runs from the ECU to the engine ... not to sure

Your not really asking about the engine wiring harness, your mainly asking about the chassis harness.

You'll also need tail lights and turn signals/hazards if its a street car. The turnsignals wont work with out the hazard switch btw.

well yeah i kinda figured you would need all the wires that run to the ECU for the car to run right. can i just eliminate everything except the engine harness?. I am NOT using this for the street

Yeah pretty much the full interior minus a few broken panels=]

Other than the few wires for the lights, are the only wires your running the ones that go to the ECU connector?

It makes sense to me if you have a few toggles for starting, fuel pump, and fans. the only other wires you would need are for charging system (if you even use it) and the wires that the ECU needs
