ok well i have looked on google ect. and i stilll cant find how to fix this.my problem is that i have a 91 s13 and the owner before me cut the stock radio wire harness so i have wired up my radio to the wires no problem. but it will not hold memory what so ever. i have even tried differant radios it's something to do with keeping the constant power.when the the car on the radio works just fine after i set the settings but as soon as i turn the key off it kills all the power to the radio so it wont save the memory. but the clock and interior lights all work all my fuses are good i checked them 2 times the fuse box by the driver kick panel. is there an other fusebox or fuses to check?????i even pulled the dash today for other resons and while it was out i was checking to see if any of the wires were cut/chewed but they all look fine.and sometimes when i start the car the wipers come on once, and when the driver door is opened it beeps even when nothing is on idk why...

any help will be appreciated.. cuz this is pissing me off lol

Its a problem with the constant wire. mine is yellow. follow the wire or just run a new one to the radio. look at the radios manual- it will say which wire is the constant. run it directly to the battery. problem solved

SWITCH YOUR WIRES YOUR ACC WIRE AND CONSTANT POWER WIRE THEY ARE IN REVERSE I ASSUME EVERY TIME YOU START YOUR CAR YOU MUST TURN ON YOUR RADIO NORMALLY CORRECT? IF SO SWITCH THOSE TWO WIRES SIMPLE AS THAT.

I had this problem with my pontiac bonneville after someone stole the stereo and riped a few of the factory wires out. You need to use a wire tester and find out which wire stays hot even when the car is turned off. It's a constant power wire so it allows the radio to keep memory. It may take alot of time to find the wire turning the ignition off and on etc adventually you will find it.

I forgot all about that I used it when I had to fix the tape deck that was broken and in my 240 when i bought it. I tried to test the radio before sliding it back into place and it wouldn't work then I realized it grounded from the actual car.
