Ok yesterday I was trying to change the rear diff oil yesterday. When I try to use a air gun on the fill plug it strip it! Its stupid and its a long story! Anyway it is not the tread that is strip but it is the part where you put in your 1/2 in rachet to put the plug on and off!

Thanks

maby you could get somthing bigger into it, but i would bet that your best bet would be welding an old extention to it, and removing it that way, also, be careful with those air guns, and think about it a couple times before you hit it, to make sure you have it going the right way

if that doesnt work, then you could go to a junk yard, get a new cover, and bolt that on

Yeah That is what I had in mind.

But every shop that I go to! They want 100+ to get it off without seeing the car!

yeah the diff drain/fill plugs are pretty rough. Did mine a little while ago and it wouldn't come free. So I just paid someone at my local pennzoil to fill change the diff fluid.
