Guys,

I need to get some new springs for my car. These kgmm drifter springs are crap for street driving! Since lots of people on here have had good luck with the Eibach springs, I'm looking at getting the ProKit. I checked on eBay and couldn't find any. I looked at TireRack and they want $216 (not including shipping).

How much did you guys pay for your springs? Does anyone have any hookups? Lemme know!!

I'd be willing to take those kgmm's off your hands if you do decide to get new ones:)

Sean

edit: but seriously phax, we sell the prokit at Nissan through Nissan Motorsports NA so try talking to Jayson Reliford (the parts guy here on NICO if you didn't know already)

Ugh, so I should have said, "another NICO sponsor"

Check with Tire Rack also. "Another" NICO sponsor! http://www.tirerack.com/suspen...&y=15

Check everywhere! These springs are available from many different places, several of which are sponsors here on NICO!

Based on the cars we have seen here the actual drop is going to be closer to 1.5". They give an estimated drop rate but that can vary depending on the car and any suspension mods. Very good ride quality and nice handling without slamming the car.

With the way they are setup on my car, the springs suck. The only good thing that I can say about them is that they are very stiff, and make the suspension response very predictable. As in, "Yeah, I'm gonna launch off that bump. Yup, it's gonna bottom out over that bump."

Make sure that you get an appropriately compatible short-bodied strut. I currently have Bilstein struts, and the springs are so short that the shock is already fully compressed. I'm hoping that switching to the Eibach spring will bring some shock travel back, and fix my ****ed up suspension. If not, I'll go the AGX route.

The drop on the springs is too much. My car scrapes going out of some driveways, and also scrapes over some of the larger speed bumps.

well i got the kgmm springs mated to some jdm kyb sr shocks. supposedly the shox are a thousand dollars a piece so i pray that they last long. any pics? also i would have went the agx rout instead of the bilstein just cuz of the adjustability so that you could have some shock travel. also can the drop ever be too much????? lol. do you know the spring rates for these springs? i cant decipher japanese that well so lemme know if u know anything.

The car came with the Bilsteins and the kgmm springs. I'm trying to undo the suspension clusterf-uck that the guy before me got himself into. The easiest route is to first try the Eibach springs. Hopefully that will fix the problem. If not, then it's on to the shocks.

As for there being such thing as too much drop. Hell yes there is such thing. If your car is too low, it becomes more or less undriveable on the street. It's really easy to set a car's suspension too stiff for the street. My car is a perfect example. I once got stuck on a gas station driveway because I took it too slow, and at the wrong angle. I had to get out of the car, and push back onto the street so that the drive wheel made contact with the ground again. That's not cool... it's ****ing lame. I'll take a fender gap over having to deal with that **** any day of the week.

HOLY CRAP MAN! at $1000 PER SHOCK they'd better last about about 3 million years!!! Seriously, did you misplace a decimal or something... I mean, brand new race coilovers wouldn't be more than $4000... most coilovers are just over $1000! If I was you, I'd go check on that price before someone rips you off...
