OK I just got my s13 a week ago. The driver's side window is all messed up. When I push the down button, it goes down fine but when I try to put it back up, it wont go up at all, I just hear the motor going. I need to pull it up to "help" the motor. Also, on my way back from work today, I had the window half way open, and the window just fell in :grr: Anyone know what might be causing this? Also, is it possible to switch to a manual window? BTW my car is a 1990 S13 fastback SE model. Thanks

so your window just fell down in and wont come back up? Open up your door panel, and look at the...thingy for it (its slipping my mind right now) the wire making the window go up and down has probably snapped.

Just go to the junkyard and get a new one =D

Theres always a way to make it manual, ull just need the parts.

Well I took out the whole assembly this afternoon. The slider and motor worked fine when the window wasnt connceted, but when it was, it sounded like the motor didnt have enough power to lift the window, or something was slipping. I couldn't figure it out. Maybe I'll just need to buy a whole set or just a motor? What do you guys think? Thanks

i found out why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(at least with mine )

1. first try to spray some electrical connections cleaner on the wire harness to the black rectangular box thing.

2. try un-bolting the black rectangular box thing and move it around so the wires are not crimped......while pushing the window button down.

hope that helps you out bro.

Well I took a look at the freakin thing again, same stuff...It looks like the window motor isn't locking up any more. Because I opened it half way up and I just put a little pressure on it, and it just fell down. You can pull the window up and down freely, so i think its the motor...anyone have any other ideas? Thanks

it's probably the rod to lower / push it back up. that was the case in my old prelude.

OK, today I got another window motor, installed it, same thing happened. The window would go down but not up. So now I'm thinking it might be the AMP on the door? I also noticed that when I roll down my passenger side window all the way up or down, the motor doesnt keep going when it hits the top or the bottom. But with my driver's side window, the motor keeps going even when its all the way down. So Im thinking its the amp? Help anyone?
