It has been nearly a year since my window went out in my S13. I've replaced the switch, the motor, the regulator, and of course the amp. The window will go down just fine, but won't go up. It gets stuck. I can see the gear trying to move when I press it up, but it just won't budge. If I pull it up while pressing the button, it'll go up with some help.

Ideas, anyone? I have been a slave to this certain problem for so long and I'd REALLY like to get it fixed or given a start as to what the hell the problem could possibly be. I'd much rather fix it myself than to take it to an expensiveass mechanic around here....

did you replace the parts with used parts? check to see if the regulator is bent or jammed. its possible that you got a bad motor, but its more likely that the problem is the regulator.time for a trip to the junk yard! woo whoo

well, it goes fine up and down without the window attached to it. But once I bolt that window on, it doesn't wanna go up. I had another user tell me to grease the rails. Hopefully that does the trick.

make sure the rubber guide is installed correctly. should be located on the sides of the windows

when you remove the inner door trim panel, you have to be careful not to rip the wires off the window switches, unplug the wires leading to these switches...then look in side the white plug, its normally the biggest harness of the two, check to see if the wires are crimped.. normally the will loosen over time, if its loose use a scribe to gently push the contacts together....re-install and try.....good luck

Well, I tried that. The wires are all intact and fine. But what I noticed is that the motor still runs (doesn't spin the gear) when the window is all the way down...when I press the button of course.

There's my video of everything. Hopefully that explains it.
