S13 power issues..

Well, heres the deal, I just installed an amplifiar/system last night, and the first few times, i could start the car with absolutly no problems.. then after like #4 or so, the car wouldnt start, the radio would come on.. all power features worked.. but the car would not start, and when put into the ON position, the car would just have no power anywhere, I checked all in-cabin fuses, and engine fuses, and there are no blown fuses anywhere.

I pulled out my voltometer, and checked the battery, got 12.74 volts.. im assuming thats pretty dang normal..

then i checked where the wires connect to the harness from the battery, and it drops to 1.4 volts.. is my battery dead?.. or dying?..

i cant think of anything else it could be..

i hear NO noises from teh starter, and i dont hear the fuel pump kick in.. (or maybe im not listening close enough)

sounds like a fusible link. if you have good voltage at batt and 1v right after then something in between has high resistance. is there a fusible link in the area?
