Does Nismo make a cat back for the S13? If you have an audio file or a pic that would be great. Thanks:D .

they do, its 87,000 JPY. around $700 dollars. Its a single 117mm tailpipe with 76.3mm piping. It has a "semi-stainless" steel muffler.

I didn't pay too close attention to what exhaust people were running (usually I saw the car and it drove by).

I'd buy a N1 from Apexi anyway, if you have an SR. The piping on the NIsmo is waaay to small for a turbo engine. 76mm is like 2.5"

Might work for the KA.

3.0062" I don't know how small you think 3.0062" is but it isn't waaaay too small. i don't know what it sounds like but it should be plenty large enough. just out of curiousity how large is the N1 piping?

76 is 3"? i thought it was like 2.5 or something. my mistake, that's what i get for not double-checking....:doh

the N1...3" as well I believe. I'm not sure about the dual N1. (edit: looks like its 80mm, which is slightly larger than the nismo)

The GT-spec from apexi is 3.74" i think that is as big as it gets from aftermarket companies.

3.74" WOW, holy...jesus christ, WOW. that's larger than i am. you could use that on jets. just crawl in it to work on your motor.

i'm rambling, sory. but wow

haha, yeah, its a big exhaust.usuck: just cause its from Nismo, doesnt mean its going to be the best. it sounds like you want an SR series motor, and i would highly recommend something from APEXi

i'm looking more for sound quality than ultimate power. something equivalent to the Mugen exhaust sound on a honda. that's why i was asking about Nismo. if it was the best "sounding" exhaust then the price would not be a problem :D . anyways thanks for the help and i will keep the APEXi in mind.

why are you so worried about sound......? youre going to spend 700 dollars on a catback exhaust for sound, and because it has a nismo name.

i'm guessing you are a kid, probably 18 or 19, maybe you even have altezzas on your ride, right?

first off, i would much rather have an exhaust that sounds nice than one with the most power. because someone else will ALWAYS have a faster car than i do.

second, YES i would pay $700 for an exhaust that sounds the best. and if i liked the sound enough, i'd pay $1000 for an exhaust, whether it said Nismo or not. and if you think the loudest exhaust is the best, then you need to go add a bigger wing and more stickers to your car... yO:D .

whoa! c'mon you gotta realize that everyone has different agendas. Some are more partial to sound than power or vice versa.

But personally, I'd like to have my car sound better than have more power...what's the point in having an exhaust that sounds like a lawn mower, but gives you 5 more hp (tops)???

that's my .2 cents

Please define sounding "better". Some guys think louder is better while others think quiet is better. What exactly are you looking for? :sleep

yeah...hrmm...altezza's for a 180ever noticed how they dont make those for the good cars....ie, rx7s, supras, skylines, or silvias (180s)

btw about exhaust, youre going to spend money on a performance part to improve nothing about the performance on your car....lol douche

here's you:look at me i spent 200 dollars on altezzas that give me 20+hpwow check out my chrome 18's....i lost 5% hp, and i have to fill up with gas twice as oftencheck out my 1" exhaust...it has to be that small to sound like a jetson's car....just the way i like it!

oh, nm here's the answer to my question....youre from texas:steer or queer?

sorry guys, i was having a really bad day and SWIFT_DRIFT just really pissed me off with his remark. boMex, i understand what you mean by people having different opinions on sound. so let me clarify this a little. imo, a nice sounding exhaust is one that isn't obnoxiously loud, but still louder than stock. it should have a nice mid tone sound to it, with out a high pitched fart sound or a deep bass sound. hope this makes since.

peace

edit: SWIFT_DRIFT, i just read your very thought out response and you seem to be very educated:rolleyes . i live in corpus christi, TEXAS. if you ever make your way down here give me a call, i would love to "talk" to you for a few minutes.

I believe tip sizes and piping sizes vary from model to model. The tip size on that pic is 120mm, not sure on the piping but it looks at least 80mm+ (I put another pic there for ya too).

Best bet would be to email HKS and ask a rep. Here's their main site if you don't know it already:

Sorry about being an a** before, I'm just more about performance personally :-\
