As the title suggests, I have an s13 sr20det and an s14 chassis. I've had the motor in the car for a while now and it runs fine, no issues. However, I did the entire swap myself including the wiring. Now then, for anyone else who has installed and s13 into an s14, I have a question about your wiring. Theres the large plug (I think called F4) that I had to cut in order to wire various aspects of my SR. I wired up all the stuff that I was supposed to (obviously since it runs) but here's my problem. The F4 plug is really big and has a bunch of wires that go to it. Since I didn't need them all, I have a large bunch that don't connect to anything shielded off together. Is that how everyone elses is? It would seem to me that that's how you have to do it since you don't use all of the wires but it seems really bad looking to me. Also, do you guys with the s13s in an s14 have it wired right so that when a problem occurrs, the check engine like comes on and blinks or whatever to tell what's wrong? I don't think that I have that part hooked up right, but I don't really know how to check it either. It lights up when I first turn on my car but that doesn't necessarily mean that the ECU is sending it codes, right? Anyway, I think you guys get my point. This has always bothered me since I did my swap but I never really bothered with it because it all worked fine. Any input would be appreciated.
