s13 max speaker depth

Need some info on the max mounting depth for the front speakers in an s13.

Looking at some 6x4 infinity reference's with a mounting depth of 1-15/16".. but I found an obscure chart that said the s13 had a mounting depth of 1-3/4", which I figured was too conservative.

What is the max depth? how hard is it to compensate for a small difference like that of 1-15/16 and 1-3/4?

Coudl you take a picture of your car with the door panel off, and one of the door panel.

I'll be able to tell you the depth from that. If there is space between the grill and the door frame, you might be able to use a spacer to get that extra clearance

are you going to use the stock plastic frame? if so, i've still got one that i can measure for you. if you make a plate for larger speakers, you have about 2.125".
