Hi everyone. We just upgraded our 91 240sx with kyb gr2 struts and 17" wheels and 215 45 17 tires. It's a daily driver but now we'd like to lower it a little. I'm looking for lowering springs that drop it approximately 1.5" but will that affect camber and toe-in where I can't get it aligned to stock specs? We had it aligned just after our few mods so right now the car rides pretty nice but I'm hoping to make it look better and stiffen the suspension a little. Any advice on brands or other suggestions would be appreciated. It's my son's car who is financially challenged so I think coilovers for him would be over the top. Thanks.

a 1.5 drop is perfectly fine if you want to align it within stock specs. Some brands you might want to consider is Tein s-techs, RSR, EibachThere is a bunch of spring companies that make lowering springs that fit your needs. Just do a search (blinking red button on the right upper corner of screen) for lowering springs for S13(89-94 240sx)

I got eibach sportlines. It's not much of a drop but if you all you want is about a 1.5 drop. Then they should suit you. I got them for 215 from a local shop.

Sportlines lower more than 1.5", they lower 2.2' front and 1.75' rear. Lowering more than 1.5' will definitely affect his stock alignment settings. They're also crappy springs (my opinion--i used to run them before). Pro-kit is a safer bet but I believe their drop rates are less than 1.5."

The Suspension FAQ is here for spring rates and lowering rates. zerothread/11638
