Last night I noticed that the lights in my CruiseControl/Flip-up/Hazard/Rear Defroster switches were not lighting up (all of the ones on the bezel). I guessed it was a fuse so I checked...all of them seemed ok. The switches still work, they're just not lit up like they used to be. When I push the Cruise Control and the Rear Defoster buttons the little square lights come on like normal. Anyone know wth is going on?? Help.

I've got a similar problem, so I pulled one of the switches out today and found the bulb to be burned out. I'll see if I can get new bulbs at the dealership tomorrow.

I went to the dealership and the parts guy says that they have the bulbs, but they cost between $6 and $9 each. He suggested I get them from an electronics supply store, where I found them for $1.10 each.

I pulled all the switches out and was somewhat surpised that they are not the same internally. On some of them, the bulb is in a socket that can be removed with the switch still attached to the wiring harness. In others, the switch has to be disconnected and disassembled to get at the bulb. Oh, and the bulbs are three different sizes.

Anyhow, my switches all illuminate again. Except for the "cruise control off" button, which is not designed to illuminate...

For reference, the bulbs are 12 volts, 35 milliamps.
