s13 leather problems/ color scheme ideas.

Sup all...heres the deal....I have a 93 240sx coupe...It has a leather interior (or i should say used to). When I got the car the leather in the back seat was cracked along the top (car never had window tint). Well i gotta rip in the drivers seat and turns out that it had been replaced with vinyl (it fooled me and everyone...the head rests and back seat were still leather and the texture matched perfect.) I took it to a shop yesterday and I wanted to see how much it would cost to re-cover both front seats with real leather (back seat is pointless and is being removed anyways to place my stereo there, so no need to waste the money on it) I wanted a Two-tone seat and the guy suggested that I do the sides in a Leather alternative and the center in real leather (so he would only have to order 1/2 hide. He quoted me $400 for the pair. What do you guys think about that? I saw some of the work he was doing on an old chevelle and it was really clean.

Second question.. My 240 is that dark metallic red color. The paint job has been redone but isn't great. Eventually I plan on doing a Silvia front end/RB motor swap. When I do that I was going to possibly get a new paint job. I have always wanted a blue car but it would take so much work/money to change a red car into a blue car. So i think I am going to paint it about the same shade of dark red, but I am going to get a candy coat so that it has a DEEP red glow to it. Well here is where I want some suggestions. If the out side of my car is dark red would it be too tacky to do a more blue tone inside my car? Not talking about Bright blue panels or anything... just subtle things like blue stitching in the seats and shift boot. and blue accents and lights in the back area where my stereo will be going. Should I do that...or keep with the red theme inside the car? By the way, the seat is going to be graphite black on the sides and a medium grey down the center and on the head rests.

I was gonna say go with sort of a two toned look...red metallic outside with a black/red leather combo on the inside
