s13 leaking gas need help!!!! asap

k well i turned my car on a few days ago and it started to leak gas from the rear! looks like its leaking around the gas cap area

need a no how to replace or what to do to fix?

i forgot to say my car is a black hatch s13 pignose sohci think the gas sat to long on a angel and the gas went to the rear and ate through the lines

it say for maybe 3-5months now?

i need info on how to replace the hoses. thinking about getting some metal bread hoses. where can i get it

can someone like me with little or no knowledge about what im doing change out the hoses myself?

Gas wouldn't just randomly eat through lines. Can you find out exactly where the leak is coming from?

gas filler neck is probably rotted, just have someone crank it while u take peak underneath, just don't get leaked on, @.@ gasoline tastes horrible.

also check your fuel pump gasket...thats where mine was leaking.

like i said its leaking from the rear on the right side i dont no how to get to it to see where it leak is coming from. thats where i need help....

maybe cause i have 93 with octane booster or no? and uh its only a 1990 s13... im expecting somthing to f*** up

my car started doing the samr thing. I'm going to look at it later on and see if I can fix it. It looks like one of the lines rubber lines split and is sliding off the metal line? Yeah it was a simple fix. somehow the out going fuel line got cracked and started leaking. baught fuel line and replwced it no problem. Sorry didn't have a chance to get pics.

pull back the carpeting in the trunk and remove the fuel pump cover with the 10mm bolts and check fuel lines gaskets ect. if you still cant find the leak take off the fuel tank and inspect for holes from there.http://i130.photobucket.com/al...8.jpg

i can do this with a half tank of gas? still looking i havnt been able to find it... pictures who help a lot

When I did it gas did come out from the line when it was removed. I use a soda bottle to catch it until it was done. I'm not sure if it did it because of pressure in the line or because it was gas in the tank. Just look under the rear passenger side. The gas tank is sitting there under the car look in front of the gas tank and you should see the lines going to it. maybe you can tell from there witch one has been leaking. You will have to remove it from there as well as in the trunk once you remove the cover leading to your fuel pump.
