I bought a set of rims and they are 17x8 with +38 offset. I know that I should have bought the right size rims in the first place, but I couldn't pass this deal, so I bought them. I'm about to buy KTS coilovers and I need some help with tires. BTW, I have a set of 5mm spacers. I searched and came up with these tires. Yes, I want staggered!

1: 215/45(F) 235/40(R)2: 225/45(F) 245/40(R)

SR_Smith said 215/45(F) 235/40(R) will clear coilovers and look good, but I wonder how no. 2 will work. I don't mind fender rolling, but I mind pulling. Don't want to go there. Called SPL and they are not sure about no. 2 setup. If there's too much headache and hassle to make no. 2 fit, I'll simply go for no. 1. How about other possible combinations? I appreciate if you guys can help me out. THANKS!!!

Youre problem wont be with the fender, it will be clearing the coilovers. Using the spacer, your wheels will be 3mm closer to the coil than SR_Smith's. I doubt you'll have room to go with the wider tire.

Got it. So you are saying that I should stick with 215/45(F). Right?

How about this?215/45(F) and 245/40(R)I wonder if there's any reason I shouldn't do it...

People say the S13 tends to understeer. I havent driven one, so I dont know how it compares to the S14.

To promote more oversteer (less understeer), I wouldnt go too big with the rears. 215/45 front and 235/40 rear sounds good. You could try the 245/40 rears if you really want to. They can fit.

Here's a pic courtesy of Smith. This is 18x8" +30 with 225/40 tire. Just looking at the rim, theres not a ton of clearance, and your +38 offset will be 8mm closer.
