S13 keyless help
hey guys im back with another question... im trying to install a keyless system on my 91 240sx but i dont know which of the wires are the ones that controls the lock and unlock system, if someone can let me know where to hook up the lock and unlock wire coming from the sender, thanks id really appreicate it!!!

The 91-94 240s use a 1 wire unlock system. I believe it's or/b. The door lock knob completes the circuit as you unlock it. This tells the factory control unit to pulse the actuators for unlock. When the circuit is broken, the control unit tells the actuators to pulse for lock.
To set up a keyless unit, you need to set up a relay on that wire.
This is the diagram that everyone uses to set up their relays:
What you do is cut the orange black wire and run it through a naturally closed relay. Then hook the coil side of the relay up to the lock circuit of the keyless unit. When you push the lock button, the relay will energize and break the circuit, allowing the doors to lock.
Then you tap your unlock circuit from your keyless unit into the orange/black. Now when you hit the button, the circuit will be completed and the system will unlock the doors.
What keyless unit are you using? Viper units have internal relays and you have to do your wiring a little backwards. Most other systems are pretty straight forward
I found that the subharness that goes from the main harness connector to the factory control unit is the best place to tap into. Also, you can pull it out of the car to help you solder better. One thing to be warry of, as this was the case on my car, some cars have an orange/blue wire that acts as an unlock circuit. The orange/blue wire is a carry over from the 89-90 models and you can disregard its existance.

im using a off brand system that i got on ebay, and my car has only one orange wire (orange/black).... do you think that i can use it this way?
