AHH!! my injectors are still leaking!! I've changed the o-rings 3 times already, first 2 just the orings, 3rd time the whole seal kit. Its still leaking from the fuel rail. Only my 1,2, and 3 are leaking, but the number 4 never leaks. I'm getting frustrated smelling gas everyday when I turn my heat on! And I kinda dont wanna get injectors cuz I have no money lol. Could it be the injectors? Any help would be apreciated! Thanks

If you are getting the correct o-rings, the injectors themselves may be leaking...maybe. Did you buy new injector insulator rings also (go between injector & rail)? Might as well.

An easy way to tell is swap the 4th injector w/ another injector. If the same injectors leak, you know it's the injector. If the same positions (i.e. 1,2,3) leak, then you know it's something else - i.e. bent fuel rail, which actually gets bent quite easily and could be not holding the injectors down as well as it should.

With all that time you wasted pulling, re-ringing, and re-installing the injectors, you could have got new injectors or used injectors & had them clean & serviced by deatschworks.

Yes I've also changed the insulators. I'm gonna try and switch the #4 injector and see if it leaks.

i had a 97 sunfire with the same problem, i found out an easy solution to fix it was to coat the upper rings with a thick grease or just vasiline, it swells the rings and seals them in . and make sure they aer in the same position as when you took them out.....might wanna try that , its cheap and easy, ya got nothing to loose...........hope that helps, let me know after you try it.

How dangerous is it to have leaking injectors? I've been smelling gas when the vent is opened for some time now, and one mechanic made it sound like my car's a bomb with wheel, ready to burst into flames any minute, but another said it just happens to old cars and wasn't too serious a problem...

The Mic- Yeh Im getting new ones lol

mrbean - Very! Thats why I dont drive mine...once the gas gets hit by a spark.. ...say bye bye to your engine. Do you know where its leaking from? Hurry up and fix it before your car goes BOOM! Its always a good thing to have a small fire extinguisher in your car btw...

Yay! Problem solved!! I was bored so I went to autozone and picked up another set of flippin o-rings and multi-purpose grease

I just applied grease on the rings, slapped them back on the injectors and BAM! No more leaking
