Hello i had just swapped in another engine and i have an overheating issue i`m stuck i replaced Thermostat, Water Pump, and Coolant Temp Sensor i have two electric blowing all in the right way, i also bled the system several times, the coolant and oil are clean and no smoke out of tail pipe doesn't seem to be Head Gasket, the radiator worked fine on the other engine so i don`t think its that and the weird part about it is that it only overheat when driving and ill let off gas it`ll cool down, i did notice the battery light came on so i when ahead an took a look at the alternator and the pulley was worn down really bad to pretty much nothing could be the pulley? i can also try flushing the system or possibly a new radiator cap. Hope someone can help its need greatly!

It could possibly be an air bubble in the system. When you're running it to bleed it, do you have the heater on full blast?

could be something stupid and small but i cant ignore the possibility of a blown head gasket. Unless its the crank pulley. That could explain the overheating and the battery light coming on. My guess is that it goes away when you let off the gas because at idle it spins slow enough to be able to catch/spin the alternator but wont during acceleration it.

also if you bought a motor with an unknown history and you have not seen it run in person that was your first mistake. Previous owner could have overheated badly and warped the head. Then bandaged it up and sold it as a good working motor.

i resolved battery light issue it ended up crapping out i replaced that few hours ago, i did a self diagnosis its showing up as 34 and 54, i know that 34 is knock sensor and research is telling me 54 is A/T control unit, i also did notice that on normal temp the upper hose is warm and the bottom hose is cold...

It is entirely possible for you to get a bad t-stat from the store. I would take it back and get another. Also, you installed the t-stat correctly, yes?
