I have 2 problems with my 240. One is that it is overheating, this started happening before winter and i changed my thermostat, rad hoses and raplaced the rad then finally the problem went away and now that spring is coming up it's starting to do it again and i have no idea why.

The second problem i'm having is my revs dropping when i come out of gear and usually when i'm idling . It drops just under 500rpm and on occasion the car will actually die.

If any one has any imput i would greatly appreaciate it.

Overheating

Make sure you got all the air out of the system when you bled it. I find that finding a deserted road and quickly swinging the steering wheel back and forth at about 20 mph will burp the system.

Idle

Start by cleaning IACV then make sure to set it properly. Procedures can be found in the tutorials section.

The overheating problem. You changed all that stuff last year so everything should still be good with that unless you basically got a Defective Thermostat. Definetly try to get all the air out of the system, if their is any. Check your Water Pump make sure it is working correctly and the Water Pump belt, make sure it isnt slipping.

You could have some vacuum lines unplugged causing that. I believe personally that Timing could take effect in the way ur car idles. Check your Plugs, Wires, Pack, Cap, Rotor Button, and the Distributor. If that does not work you could be loosing compression from Miles and it being a old motor. My 93 Ka has the some problem with idling, but not to worried about it got another hatch and building a sr20.
