There is no OBII in Japan. Are you absolutely sure its a Kouki Aug 96-98 engine? Are the needles amber?

If the needles are white you can just take the Speedo out of a USDM cluster and swap the two.

If it actually is the amber needle with charcoal gauges, then the kouki S13 SR uses the S14 speed sensor. So you could try a USDM S14 speedo gauge, but I cannot guarentee fitment, and it will look different. Also you will have to do your own custom wiring.

You can also make your jdm speedometer read in mi/hr. Check it out.

You actually have an "EARLY model blacktop S13 SR20DET."

What you do is you use the USDM cluster that came with your car, and swap the JDM tachometer into the USDM cluster.

This is rediculous how lazy you are. This procedure only takes about 15 minutes for me to do. You can get the USDM 1991-1994 gauge cluster but then your redline on the tach will be marked incorrectly.

You going to switch the clusters out anyway, when its out, remove the 4 screws and swap clusters.

Heres an illustrated instruction..http://www.lsauto.com/install.asp

I have to agree. If you can't do something that basic without a 50-step detailed instruction manual, then you don't have the basic mechanical ability it takes to work on cars properly.

Its pretty easy, you can figure it out.

IM not mechanic myself. I used to not do my own oil change, thats how dumb I am. But I figured it out eventually. Now, not only i can change my oil, i can change my suspension, brakes, etc.. as well.

Try going to lsautomotive's website and click on products. It shows you how to take it apart.
