240hybrid, welcome to NICO!

Generally, you do not swap an older engine into a newer model-year car.

The left column of this page has a list of sponsors. Please check out Heavy Throttle's site, and notice their extensive "Install FAQ" section. That page should answer nearly ALL of your questions. It would be wise to do as much research as possible before investing serious dollars. You will also notice captions included with their engine page, which will tell you what engines swap into specific chassis with minimal hassle. You can also email Jeff from Heavy Throttle...he usually responds within 24hrs, and can answer any tech question you have.

There is a great deal of knowledge to be had here at NICO and at our sponsor's pages. Please feel free to use the search function(top right of page); and also our "Sticky: SR20DET faq". Both will help in your search for info.

The best bet is to send your harness to get the wiring redone. You could send it to phase2, my friend said HT stopped doing wiring conversions at the moment but I have not confirmed that yet. If you want to do the wiring yourself, this will be your bible http://sr20.hybrids.jp/install....html

Just go to google.com and search for S13 SR20DET into S14 and they will send you to sr20hybrid.com There you will find the wiring diagrams. That's all you need to know, after that it's all childs play (just like an S13 into an S13 chassis). It's easier than you'd imagine and the S13 motor is better anyhow (compaired to the S14 '95 or '96 motor)
