soo being a fan of all black interiors, i decided to go ahead and get spray dye, for the carpet, headliner and back seats.
I also wanted a quite-er cabin and just take that interior apart cus it was gross, i found a nyc bridge token circa.70's
so here it is with the dashboard support removed and door panel off...by the way pics of dyed carpet and everything will be upsoonImageImage

IF you get ritz dye from walmart, put it in a spray bottle with REALLY hot water and shake it up, it dyes better than the spray s*** you can get at autozone and stuff.

well, the paint was all there,i left all the stock sound deadning so i didnt go throught the whole dry ice and repaint process, just cleaned it up with prep sol. yea im pricing out tanny swap but i just spent money on kyb agx all around eichback lowering springs and tien camber plates, as for the trunk, its getting the same treatment just with cheaper sound deadning.thanks for the tip, but the paint has been already bought, thnks tho. more pics soon of the interior complete and all black

Whats the deadening called? And how much/roll? Big difference in the cabin noise? I'm looking into doing this myself.

appreciate the love man, i put an ungodly amount of time (and $) into my interior. floormats are custom aftermarket. i had them done by an upholstery shop using my old oem ones as a template. they used black plush material, same s*** teddy bears are made out of. no joke. and then i had them custom embroider the "240sx" logo in. if anyone is interested i can still get them. a friend of my dad's made mine for me.

i have dyed carpet as well, and the dye carpet holds up, but will slightly fade out over time, either way floor mats are a good idea to reduce the fading, but i have to point out that my dye has or never will stick to my shoes...or anything actually.... but that might depend on how cheap your dye is...

Interior looks great, I'm getting ready to attempt something similar myself soon. Can you tell me what Dyes and paints you used? Don't want to use Dupicolor from autozone and get my feelings hurt when it rubs off.
Thanks!

OH EM GEE!! I need to do this soon! What dye do you recommend to paint your dash and how many cans would you need to paint the dash and center console?

Have you guys seen people doing other colors like white or anything? Does it work the same way or would you recommend something else?

Beats looking for black panels, might as well get brown paint them.
