Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and to the S chassis. I've been a Z32 fan for many years, and I've owned 5 of my own and know my way around the Z quite well.

I picked up this little '92 S13 5-speed coupe that wasn't running, and the previous owner clearly tried all sorts of things with the electrical system to try to get it to run. I'm pretty sure the timing was off on the motor, but regardless they hacked up the wires that should be running to a relay under the fuse block on the passenger side in the engine bay. (the missing relay is the one marked as iginition)

They took either 3 or 4 white wires and tried to connect them directly to the positive battery cable. It's a mess. Is there anyone who can help me hook everything back up properly? The relay is sitting in the passenger seat (I think, the one I have is gray), and all the wires I have connected to the positive cable are white (one is a much thicker gauge than the others). I also don't have the little block that the relay plugs into, so I may just get some little clips from Radio Shack or something. My main concern is getting the relay hooked up how it's supposed to be. I'm in the middle of an SR swap right now, and I want this squared away.

Thanks so much for the help!

Cheers,Jonnie

well...wiring sucks...but i think the easiest way to do is is to get a service manual, the chiltons have wiring diagrams in it, and re wired it or you could go junk yard hopping and steal the right harness setup you need from a donor vehicle(plus whatever else you want..)..and if you decide to keep the old stuff and start to splice the new wires in ...use differnt colors, and unless youre using aircraft envirmental but splices...solder and shrink wrap the connections.... if you solder and forget the shrink wrap...liquid electrical tape is awsome stuff

Oh for sure, I just got done w/ modifying the harness per the FRSport writeup, and I made sure everything was soldered, heat shrink wrapped and taped. I am very electrically inclined, and I did take a look at the fsm, but the wires it says are there are w/b, b/r, b, and w/g. All I see in my bay is 3 white wires all wrapped together, with a shoddy attempt at soldering them to the positive battery cable.

I've searched around in an attempt to find a parts car sitting somewhere that I can jack the whole fuse block off, but I can't seem to find one. There's a block on ebay, but I believe it's the ds block, not the one w/ the ignition.

Oh well, I guess I can just wing it and see if I can figure it out on my own. Stupid kids...

Thanks for the response!
