s13 HUD going crazy

So i just replaced the capicitor in the speedo. i plug it up and it works great. now when i start the car it goes crazy reading random numbers on the display. is this hud related? or could it be the speedo sensor? please help!!

Sounds like you may have damaged something on the circuit board. I'm assuming it never did this before you opened it up?

it hasnt worked right in the 2 years i have had the car. it would always come on then got out about 10 seconds after starting the car. then went to where it wouldnt come on at all.
